S'mores Pops
- 1 16 ounce bag large marshmallows fresh and fluffy
- 1 16 ounce bag chocolate chips use your favorite chocolate
- 1 16 ounce package graham crackers crisp
- pretzel sticks for the pops
Place the graham crackers in a sturdy zip-top bag and seal tightly.
Crush the graham crackers with a rolling pin or your hands until you have coarse crumbs. Avoid crushing them into a fine powder.
Pour the crushed graham crackers into a wide bowl and set aside as your dipping station.
Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave. If using a microwave, heat in short bursts and stir every 30 seconds until smooth and glossy.
Insert a pretzel stick firmly into each marshmallow, making sure the marshmallow is secure.
Arrange the marshmallow pops on a large baking tray before dipping.
Dip each marshmallow completely into the warm melted chocolate.
Lift the pop slowly and let the excess chocolate drip off. Gently tap it against the edge of the bowl to create an even coating.
Dip the chocolate-coated marshmallow halfway into the crushed graham crackers, covering the lower portion with coarse crumbs.
Place each finished pop on wax paper and continue until all the pops are coated.
Allow the chocolate to harden completely. For faster setting, place the pops in the refrigerator.
If the melted chocolate is too thick, stir in a tiny amount of neutral cooking oil to thin it. Keep water away from the chocolate to prevent it from seizing. For a toasted campfire flavor, lightly brown the marshmallows with a kitchen torch or low gas flame, then let them cool before dipping.
