Ingredients

S'mores Pops

  • 1 16 ounce bag large marshmallows fresh and fluffy
  • 1 16 ounce bag chocolate chips use your favorite chocolate
  • 1 16 ounce package graham crackers crisp
  • pretzel sticks for the pops

Instructions

  • Place the graham crackers in a sturdy zip-top bag and seal tightly.
  • Crush the graham crackers with a rolling pin or your hands until you have coarse crumbs. Avoid crushing them into a fine powder.
  • Pour the crushed graham crackers into a wide bowl and set aside as your dipping station.
  • Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave. If using a microwave, heat in short bursts and stir every 30 seconds until smooth and glossy.
  • Insert a pretzel stick firmly into each marshmallow, making sure the marshmallow is secure.
  • Arrange the marshmallow pops on a large baking tray before dipping.
  • Dip each marshmallow completely into the warm melted chocolate.
  • Lift the pop slowly and let the excess chocolate drip off. Gently tap it against the edge of the bowl to create an even coating.
  • Dip the chocolate-coated marshmallow halfway into the crushed graham crackers, covering the lower portion with coarse crumbs.
  • Place each finished pop on wax paper and continue until all the pops are coated.
  • Allow the chocolate to harden completely. For faster setting, place the pops in the refrigerator.

Notes

If the melted chocolate is too thick, stir in a tiny amount of neutral cooking oil to thin it. Keep water away from the chocolate to prevent it from seizing.
For a toasted campfire flavor, lightly brown the marshmallows with a kitchen torch or low gas flame, then let them cool before dipping.
